Account Opening Requirements

We are excited about your decision to enter into a relationship with GFX Partners.  In order to open an account with us we will need certain documentation from you in order to comply with the Government of Canada's Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act. We need the following information from each client and each document needs to be signed by an authorized signing officer of the firm.

GFX Client Agreement

This document defines the legal responsibility of both parties to complete a foreign exchange (FX) transaction once it has been entered into.

Trading Authorization Form

GFX Partners will only execute foreign exchange transactions or international payments with employees or representatives your firm has authorized.

Details (full name,birth date, residential address and phone number, title/position) of eachauthorized individual must be collected on the form.

Photo ID

GFX will require Government-issuedunexpired photo IDs of the Authorized Signing Officer(s) of the GFX ClientAgreement.

Articles of Incorporation

GFX will require acopy of your Articles of Incorporation/Business License/Partnership Agreementor other formal document, a list of the present directors of the firm andcompany ownership information.

Banking History

It is an additionalrequirement that GFX will request a Banking History Report from the Client’sBank. 

Address Verification

GFX requires a copy ofan utility bill with your address on it that indicates you are conductingbusiness at your present location and, if we have not already done so, a GFXForeign Exchange or Operations representative will visit your location tointroduce ourselves.

Please complete this document with your banking instructions and the banking information of any of your company's suppliers or vendors.
